1. Hester heard some gossip among the citizens that they want to take Pearl from Hester. Being Hester first child Hester didn't want to give her daughter up. She is going to go on a plead so she can keep her daughter. She is going to fight the hardest she can to keep her daughter.
2. Hester and Pearl was on their way to the governor mansion. Hester wearing the scarlet letter, while her daughter was wearing a scarlet dress. When they were about to approach the governor's mansion Hester and Pearl ran into some puritains. The kid taunted Pearl and Pearl screamed and threarned the kids away.
3The men that came towards Hester and Pearl was Governor Bellingham, the Reverend John Wilson, the Reverend Dimmesdale, and Roger Chillingworth. The Governor gave Hester a challenge to raise pearl in a christain way. The governor asked one of the men to test Hester on the christain way to live. The governor made a smart remark about Pearl.
4. Hester was scared that the governor and Mr. Wilson are ready to take Pearl away from Hester, she protests that God gave her Pearl and that she will not give her up. Pearl is what makes Hester happy and her torture, and she will not give her up not in her life time.
5. Dimmesdale says that we should let Hester keep her babby since she says God gave Pearl to her. Let that remind Hester of her sin and her adultry before God. So the minister gave Hester a kiss on the fore head which I think is the kiss of death. She has to worry about her child being a bastard.
6. On her way home Hester run into Mrs. Hibbins the govonor;s sister. She invites Hester to come and worship the devil with her. Hester said that she has to take her daughter home. She did add that if she loss Peal she will turn away from God and worship the devil.
7. Dimmesdale a well known minister health was being to fail. He suggested that he needed no medichine because if it is the Lord's will he will die. He puts his life in the hands of Mr. Chillingeworth. Mr. Chillingworth allowed Mr. Dimmesdale to move in with him. Ministers are not appose to be affraid to die.
8. Although Mr Chillingworth looks like a well good doctor. The puritains can tell that he was satan himself. People was told that Mr. Chillingworth practice bad spirits. People don't trust Mr. Chillingworth, but they have faith in God.
9. Chillingworth has went into a investigation to find out who is Hester Father. During this time weeks, and weeks at a time Chilligworth has been digging in Mr. Dimmesdale heart. Oneday chilligwoth heard voices out side and they were who he thought they were. It was Hester and her Pearl talking.
10. Hester and pearl are disscussing Pearl behavior. That pearl behavior is getting bad and unacceptable. Explains to her how she is trying to raise her the Godly way. Need to act more like a child of God instead of being like the devil.
11. That Mr. chilligworth knows that he cannot heal Mr. Dimmesdale. Mr. Dimmesdale says that the pain or hurt is coming with inside his soul. Mr. Chillingworth say when he knows Mr. Dimmesdale is not listening I don;t think I can make him better.
12. Mr. Chilligwortrh really wants to get inside Mr. Dimmesdale head so he can find out the secret. Mr. Chillingworth is now torturing him. He wants to know want is going on way deep in Mr. Dimmessdale heart. So he tries his best to get the information out of him.
13. Mr. Dimmesdale is not able to confuss that he has commited Adultry to. He is Hester love and he is the Father of Pearl. Dimmesdale punish himself that he commited that crime against a Holy and Awesome God. He know that he will be punished more if they found out.
14. Mr. Dimmesdale found a place that he can be safe without the concern of someone hating him. jPearl Hester and Dimmesdale stands side by side. Dimmesdale says he will stand with Hester on Judgemnent Day. Mr. Dimmesdale asks about Mr. Chilligworth but Hester don't tell him.
15. Hester finds out that Mr. Dimmesdale has changed. He still have his Intelligience, but he has got weak. Hester decides to take care of him. With in the next 4 years Hester have moved up and now the letter A on her bossom stands for ABLE.
16. Although she has got rewarded by having the meaning of the Scalet letter A on her shirt. She still has a price to pay. No friends, no passion, no love or affection. She still is being hated all in and throughout her community.
17. Hester sees Mr Chillingworth coming and she is about to talk to him. He tells her that he is going to let the devil use him. He first admits that something bad happen to the minister, and he denies the role. He is up to no good and letting the evil use him to his fullest.
18. Pearl is determined to find out what is that Red Letter on her mother's bossom. Hester wants to tell her so bady because she is the only one she can tell. She doesn't tell her though. Pearls keeps on asking. Mother says if you keep on aking me I am going to lock you up in a dark closet.
19. On their walk in the forest, Peal ask about her dealing with the black man. She says the symbol represent the black man. Everytime Hester walks it seems like the sun is running away from her. Pearl walks and the Sun draws near her.
20. Dimmesdale was quiet the last 7 years about the event that took place between him and Hester. Hester had to go through alot and was exposed while Dimmesdale had nothing happen to him. Dimmesdale regrets his silence and says it feels like he should have told everyone. Hester finds out that she is in Love with Dimmesdale.
21. Dimmesdale at first start to blame Hester for all the touture he went through with Chillingworth. Hester cries at his sides and beggs for his forgivness. He ask the Lord for both of their forgivness. Mr. Dimmesdale is ready to show his true character to the community.
22. Mr Dimmesdale finds courage in Hester to go forth and take his execution. Hester assist that Mr. Dimmesdale meets his daughter. Mr. Dimmesdale resists at first but allow it to go forth. He meets his daughter I bet that he is so happy.
